Election Roundup: Lumberton City Council
Lumberton City Council members Melissa Robinson, John Carroll, John Cantey, and Owen Thomas have been reelected.
Each member was the only name on the ballot and won by a wide margin.
Results
- John Cantey won with 202 votes, more than 88% of the total.
- Write-in candidates combined for 27 votes.
“First and foremost, I’d like to thank God, all of our church families, civic groups and especially the residents of Precinct 5 for entrusting me to a sixth term as their representative,”
Cantey has served on the board since 2005 and won a sixth term.
