World Premiere of 'The Witch of November' at Abbey Theater of Dublin
The Abbey Theater of Dublin presents the world premiere of 'The Witch of November', a play by Vidas Barzdukas, as the 50th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald's sinking approaches.
The play is based on the true story of the American Great Lakes freighter that sank on November 10, 1975, in Lake Superior, resulting in the deaths of all 29 crew members.
The story follows Captain Ernest McSorley as he relives key moments of his life, observing the consequences of his career and what became of him and his wife's life together.
"We are excited to bring this world premiere play to life on the Abbey Theater stage," says Joe Bishara, Abbey Theater of Dublin Supervisor.
