Six Flags America closed permanently after 51 years of operation, ending activities at the 131-acre Maryland park in Bowie.
The amusement park announced its closure plans in May. On its last day, wait times exceeded two hours for popular attractions, including the Superman: Ride Of Steel roller coaster, which had mechanical issues.
