Power Restored to Thousands in Norfolk County
Power has been restored to thousands of Hydro One customers in Norfolk County, according to the company's online outage map.
A power outage started at about 9:40 a.m. on Friday, impacting more than 26,000 Hydro One customers in Norfolk County.
Hydro One crews responded immediately and worked throughout the day to make repairs, restoring power in stages, said company officials.
The outage was caused by an equipment failure, according to Hydro One.
Some parts of the town had power back on Friday night, and by 4:30 a.m., power was restored to some Waterford residents.
By Saturday morning, the outage map was all clear for Norfolk.
