Solar Perovskites in U.S. Army Microgrid Demonstration
Swift Solar's U.S.-manufactured perovskites were used in a demonstration of a deployable microgrid for critical infrastructure cyber defense.
The perovskite solar cells were integrated with the Rapid Deployment Hybrid MicroGrid (RDHM) developed by Resilient Energy & Infrastructure.
- Modular microgrids are designed for quick setup and relocation.
- Built in ruggedized shipping containers for disaster response, military operations, or remote power generation.
- The deployable microgrid uses multiple energy inputs, including a diesel generator and battery energy storage system along with perovskite solar cells.
