Service Dog Helps Student Veteran in Recovery Journey

Student veteran Nadia Elieff, 23, struggled with PTSD until she discovered the help of service dogs. After attending a panel, she qualified for a service dog and was paired with Truffle, a golden-lab-mix.

He provides me with so much support that I was missing before. He is the final puzzle piece to my recovery.

Elieff, a graduate student at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, will share her experience at the "Unleashing Independence: The Vital Role of Service Dogs" panel discussion during Disability Awareness Month.
