Two University of Bristol scientists have been awarded over £2 million to collaborate with US researchers on Quantum Information Science projects.
The funding, awarded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the US National Science Foundation (NSF), will support projects on drug design, solar cell technologies, and quantum sensing.
The grants will contribute to quantum-enabled chemical simulation, enhanced control over chemical reactivity, and new methods to manipulate electron spin in single organic molecules.
Work supported by these grants is expected to contribute to quantum-enabled chemical simulation, enhanced control over chemical reactivity, and new methods to optically manipulate and control the electron spin in single organic molecules.
Awarded to support eight collaborative US-UK research projects, two are led by the University of Bristol, strengthening its role as a centre of excellence in quantum technologies.
