Woman Commits Theft Minutes After Release from Custody
A 29-year-old woman, Krystal Tippins, pleaded guilty to theft and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail in the Warrnambool Magistrates' Court.
According to police prosecutor Senior Constable Michael Timmons, the incident occurred on August 24, 2023, when the victim tried to withdraw $200 from an ATM at 4:40pm but had trouble and left to seek help.
- The woman approached the ATM, selected a prompt on the screen, and the money was discharged.
- She took the four $50 notes, put them in her purse, and left the venue.
