Genesis, 20 years old at the time, worked as a "stower" at an Amazon warehouse in Southern California, lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds. After finding out she was pregnant in spring 2024, she provided a doctor's note to her employer, requesting regular breaks, limited bending and twisting, and lifting no more than 20 pounds due to her medical condition, which made her prone to fainting.
