Domestic Dispute Turns Violent
A 21-year-old man from Lady Lake was arrested for battery after a physical altercation with his girlfriend.
According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, a deputy responded to a call at a home on Circle Drive in Lady Lake around 12:10 p.m. on Saturday.
Upon arrival, the deputy heard an argument inside and knocked on the door, but was initially met with silence.
The suspect, Riley Wayne Patton, eventually opened the door and claimed his girlfriend did not want to speak with the deputy.
Dispatch reported that the girlfriend had stated "Stop hitting me" during the incident.
