Already qualified for next year’s ICC T20 World Cup, Nepal registered a commanding victory over hosts Oman in the Super 6 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup Asia–East Asia Pacific (EAP) Qualifier.
Chasing 152 runs, Oman were restricted to 113 for nine wickets in their 20 overs. Gulshan Jha starred with the ball, claiming three wickets, while Sompal Kami and Nandan Yadav took two wickets each.
For Oman, Vinayak Shukla top-scored with 32 runs, while Mohammad Nadeem added 25. Bhurtel’s 69 and Jha’s all-round effort helped Nepal end Oman’s unbeaten streak and kept Nepal’s flawless run intact.
