Northeast Storm Causes Flooding
A northeast storm brought extensive flooding to Gloucester and Mathews, Virginia, despite less rain and wind than expected.
The Rev. Kristie Askew, pastor of Grace-Providence United Methodist Church in Mobjack, observed the flooding, saying she hadn't seen waters that high in three years.
She said she hadn’t seen waters that high in the three+ years she’d been living in the nearby parsonage.
The flooding occurred during a King Tide, exacerbating the storm's impact.
