DreadWorlds, a highly anticipated Halloween attraction, was forced to close due to a court injunction from a former investor, blocking access to its Langley site.
A Supreme Court of British Columbia injunction was granted, preventing access to the 14,000-square-foot event site. The injunction restricts Alexander James Baxter, CEO of DreadWorlds and Constellate Films Inc., from operating the haunted-house themed attraction.
Over 70 people – actors, artists, crew, and managers have been locked out of work after months of hard work to create something truly special.
The court documents list a numbered entity as the petitioner. As a result, the event will not open this Halloween season.
