China's Electric Vehicle Exports Double in September
China's exports of electric vehicles doubled in September from a year earlier, with 222,000 units exported, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
These "new energy vehicles" include battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, showing a 100% increase from the previous year, although slightly lower than the 224,000 units exported in August.
- Overall passenger car sales in China rose 11.2% year-on-year in September.
- This follows a 15.1% rise in August.
