'Something has to be done': Vigil marks loss of Missouri man who died in ICE custody

About 50 people gathered to mourn Leo Cruz-Silva, a 34-year-old Mexican immigrant who died by suicide in a jail in Ste. Genevieve while in ICE custody.

Cruz-Silva was arrested by Festus police on September 30 for public intoxication and was transferred to ICE custody on October, where he died one day after arriving.

He wasn't even here for more than 24 hours

Said Sarah Drost, president of Abide in Love-Ste. Genevieve, a group that helps ICE detainees in Missouri jails and organized the vigil.
