Putnam County Budget for 2026 Proposes Property Tax Cut
Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne held a town hall meeting at the Southeast Town Hall to discuss his proposed 2026 county budget with residents.
The proposed budget includes a $1 million cut to the property tax levy, with expected county spending of $221.7 million. This would result in a property tax rate of $2.39 per $1,000 of assessed value, the lowest in nearly 20 years.
