Indian Navy Acquires Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle

The Indian Navy has awarded a contract worth INR660 million (USD7.4 million) to Coratia Technologies for an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to support surveillance operations.

Coratia Technologies will supply its 'Jalasimha' underwater ROV, which has undergone pressure-chamber testing and open-sea trials in the Bay of Bengal.

Debendra Pradhan, co-founder and CEO of Coratia Technologies, confirmed the company will supply an undisclosed number of Jalasimha underwater ROVs to the Indian Navy.
