Chicago will experience mild and breezy conditions through Friday before a weekend storm brings cooler temperatures. FOX 32's Mike Caplan provides today's weather overview.
November's mild weather continues for the remainder of the workweek. Today will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny with highs in the lower 60s. Winds will be lighter than they were yesterday but will increase tonight and tomorrow.
Showers and possible embedded thunder will affect the area Thursday night into Friday morning. Afterward, Friday will be breezy and mild again, with highs in the lower 60s.
The next storm system is expected to arrive Saturday afternoon, bringing showers and highs in the lower 50s. This will be followed by a blast of much colder air on Sunday. Precipitation should end Sunday morning and clear most of the area before the Bears game.
“There is much ballyhoo already about potential snow arriving Sunday or Monday and here’s what I will say about that: The US model has scaled back its ridiculous snowfall prediction from yesterday.”
Mike Caplan, FOX 32 Weather
Chicago will see mild weather turning windy Thursday and a storm with showers Saturday, followed by colder air and a reduced chance of heavy snow Sunday.
This forecast highlights a transition from mild weather to a weekend storm with cooler temperatures and a lowered snowfall risk.
