Finance Minister Makis Keravnos accused Greek Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou of spreading "fake news" regarding the Great Sea Interconnector.
Keravnos stated that the studies, which he claims show the project is not sustainable, were commissioned by Cypriot Energy Minister George Papanastasiou and properly delivered to the Greek energy ministry.
He said the studies were "properly delivered" to the Greek energy ministry and even sent to Papastavrou's predecessor Theodoros Skylakakis.
Keravnos made these comments while addressing the House finance committee, in response to Papastavrou's claims that he did not show the studies.
