Michael B. Jordan will be honored with the 39th annual American Cinematheque Award on November 20. The event will feature a lineup of notable presenters, including Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper, and Ryan Coogler.
Donna Langley, chairwoman of NBC Universal Entertainment and Studios, will present the Power of Cinema Award to the MPA’s Charles H. Rivkin.
The ceremony will include a musical performance by Miles Caton, Ludwig Göransson, and Raphael Saadiq featuring “I Lied to You” from the film Sinners.
Jordan’s recognition follows his acclaimed portrayal of twin brothers Smoke and Stack in Coogler’s critically acclaimed and commercially successful film Sinners earlier this year.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Beverly Hilton and serves as an annual fundraiser for the American Cinematheque, a nonprofit organization that hosts programs throughout the year at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, Los Feliz 3 Theatre, and the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.
