Kalispell Angler Terry Krogstad Wins Fall Mack Days
The 2025 Fall Mack Days Fishing Event on Flathead Lake, sponsored by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, concluded Sunday with a total of 19,144 lake trout entries, surpassing last year’s total of 18,414. A total of 335 anglers participated, with 116 submitting one or more lake trout.

The event’s catch totals were divided between Monday-Thursday with 5,369 entries, and Friday-Sunday with 13,775 entries. Both periods exceeded the 2024 totals of 3,811 (Monday-Thursday) and 14,603 (Friday-Sunday).
Top Anglers of Fall Mack Days 2025
- Terry Krogstad of Kalispell earned the Top Angler title with 1,206 entries and a 57.83 average over 18 days.
- David Myers of Riverton, Wyo., placed second with 986 entries and a 51.56 average.
- Larry Ashwell of Missoula scored 1,007 entries at a 49.5 average.
- Julie Perkins of Kalispell followed with 1,027 entries averaging 48.83.
- Jack Kirkland of Lolo achieved 803 entries, averaging 41.89.
- Patrick Casey of Townsend had 774 entries with a 41.06 average.
- Devon Burkowski of Kalispell recorded 760 entries, averaging 38.06.
- Richard Kreis of Huson totaled 663 entries with a 33.39 average.
- Lyndon Lee of Canada had 535 entries, averaging 27.67.
- Mike Benson of Lonepine ended with 516 entries averaging 27.17.
