Lorenzo Musetti secured a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Alexandre Muller on Thursday to advance to the semifinals of the ATP event in Athens, sustaining his chances to qualify for the season-ending ATP Finals.
Musetti, ranked 9th in the world, must win the tournament to surpass Felix Auger-Aliassime and claim the last spot for next week’s ATP Finals in Turin. The player who qualifies will join a group featuring world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, and Ben Shelton.
The 38-year-old Djokovic has been drawn in a group with Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur at the ATP Finals.
