Council Leaves Woman Without Hot Water for a Month
Michele Atterbury, a resident of the De Beauvoir Estate in Hackney, has been without hot water and heating for over a month.
“It has been very stressful trying to keep myself clean and warm. I haven’t been able to have a proper wash because there’s no hot water.
Atterbury has been forced to boil the kettle to wash herself and dishes, and uses an electric blanket to keep warm. She told the Citizen that she can only wash once a day to control costs.
