Sharp has announced the launch of a crowdfunding campaign for its Xrostella VR1, a slim and light PC VR headset, in Japan.
The company first unveiled a PC VR headset prototype at CES 2023, with plans to ship it in 2024. After nearly three years of silence, Sharp showcased a newer version of the device at the Metaverse Expo in Japan, as reported by Gizmodo Japan.
The Xrostella VR1 is now set to be sold in Japan via the Green Funding crowdfunding platform, starting in November.
