DeepU Laser Drilling Technology for Geothermal Energy
The EU-funded DeepU project has developed an operational prototype for its laser drilling technology and is now entering the field testing phase.
The goal of this technology is to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and minimize the environmental impact of deep drilling operations for geothermal energy.
- Funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pathfinder programme under Horizon Europe (Grant Agreement No. 101046937).
- Coordinated by the University of Padua and then RED SRL, in collaboration with several European partners.
