Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update and Switch 2 Edition
A major free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is set to arrive in January, alongside a paid Switch 2 Edition upgrade.

New Features and Release Date
The update and Switch 2 Edition will be released on January 15, 2026, with a digital and physical Switch 2 version also available for $64.99.

- New collaborations with extra villagers
The Resort Hotel features new tasks, clothes, and furniture, and allows players to earn tickets by decorating rooms for guests.
