Tennis Takes First Loss in Sweet 16

Davie tennis players Corbin Drum and Kate Chaffin reached the 7A Midwest Regional semifinals, one step from the state tournament.
Both players showed grit in defeat, with the tournament held at Guilford College. Corbin Drum played the number one seed "really, really hard" (6-3, 6-4), according to coach Collin Ferebee.
"Corbin played the one seed really, really hard (6-3, 6-4)," coach Collin Ferebee said. "It was a competitive match all the way through."
Kate Chaffin also went 2-1 on the day, with coach Ferebee noting that "Kate rolled (in the first round)".
