Large enterprises typically purchase more electricity than they use, as they buy a standard monthly capacity based on their maximum usage needs, even if they rarely consume that amount.
After earning her degree in mechanical engineering (and later an MBA), she spent 25 years as an energy engineer at major utility companies like PECO, Con Edison, and Exelon, as well as at a few clean energy startups.
Founder and CEO, SaLisa Berrien, was motivated to find a solution to this problem due to her personal experience of struggling to pay electric bills as a child.
