Canadian Lobbyists Represent Major Polluters and Environmental Groups
A recent report by FMinus reveals a conflict of interest in Canada's climate action efforts, with lobbyists representing both major polluters and environmental groups.
Major Canadian environmental organizations and civil society groups are using lobbyists who also work with big polluters, according to the report, which was prepared in conjunction with Environmental Defence and re•generation.
“As the climate crisis gets worse for Canadians, there’s a hidden cause,”said James Browning, founder and executive director of FMinus, in an interview with DeSmog.
The report highlights the influence of Big Oil's lobbying playbook on Canada's climate action, putting the nation's efforts at risk.
