A potent Pacific storm brought strong winds, thunderstorms, and scattered power outages to the region late Friday night and early Saturday.
According to meteorologist Michael Snyder of Pacific Northwest Weather Watch,
the system developed from a jet stream and “brought some strong gusts”that struck areas such as Normandy Park and SeaTac.
Snyder noted that his own skylight was ripped off his Normandy Park home during the wind event.
Author's summary: Strong winds and thunderstorms hit Burien and south King County.
