Seattle Storm Names Sonia Raman as New Head Coach

Sonia Raman, formerly an assistant coach for the New York Liberty, has been appointed as the Seattle Storm's next head coach, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

Raman brings a wealth of experience, having coached MIT's women's basketball team for 12 years and serving as an assistant coach for the Memphis Grizzlies for four years.

Most recently, Raman was an assistant coach for the Liberty in 2024 and was a top candidate for head coach positions.

Now, she will lead the Storm, who finished with the 7th-best record in the WNBA this past season.
