Truck Driver in Country Illegally Causes Fatal Crash
A truck driver, identified as 21-year-old Jashanpreet Singh, was under the influence of drugs when he caused a chain-reaction crash on a California highway, killing three people.
Singh has been charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of a drug causing injury, according to a criminal complaint.
He is in the United States illegally, and an immigration detainer has been placed on him, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
