Emily Scarratt Announces Retirement from Women's Rugby

Emily Scarratt, a veteran of the Red Rose team, has announced her retirement from women's rugby after winning her second Women's Rugby World Cup trophy.

With 17 years of experience representing English women's rugby, Scarratt has accumulated 119 caps, the third highest of any player, and holds the record for most points scored with 754.

Her last appearance was in a group match against the USA in the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup, making her the first England player, male or female, to participate in five World Cups.

She debuted for England at 18 years old, scoring a try after coming off the bench against the USA.
