Roadside Bombing in Northwest Pakistan
A powerful roadside bomb struck a police vehicle in a former stronghold of the Pakistani Taliban, killing a city police chief and two junior officers.
The incident occurred in the city of Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, near the Afghan border, as the officers were heading to a police station that had been attacked earlier.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attacks and blamed the Pakistani Taliban for the violence.
