Crowley Couple Arrested After Child Found Unresponsive
Police have charged a Louisiana couple in connection with the death of their 10-month-old child.
The father, 24-year-old Jacolby Jones, has been booked for second-degree murder and second-degree cruelty to juveniles, while the mother, Mikelle Smith, has been charged with second-degree cruelty to juveniles.
- The incident occurred at a hotel in Crowley, where the child was found unresponsive.
- According to investigators, the mother had arrived home from work to find the child sleeping, but later discovered the child was not responsive and called 911.
- The child was taken to the hospital and placed on life support.
