Bandi Chhor Divas: Giani Raghbir Singh's Appeal to Govt
On the occasion of Bandi Chhor Divas, Giani Raghbir Singh, Head Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar, greeted the Sikh community and urged the government to release Bandi Singhs.
He emphasized that governments should follow the path shown by Gurus and grant freedom to Bandi Singhs who have completed their sentences.
Giani Raghbir Singh highlighted that Bandi Chhor Divas marks the day when Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji secured the release of 52 imprisoned kings from the Gwalior Fort.
To celebrate this divine act of freedom, devotees light lamps of pure ghee, and the entire city of Amritsar glows with devotion and joy.
