Three individuals from Granville have been accused of neglecting 20 cats and 10 dogs, leaving them in extremely poor conditions in Whitehall.
According to reports, State Police received a tip in June regarding numerous animals in need of veterinary care at a property on Route 40. Following a search in late August, police found two dogs and one cat in poor physical condition.
A subsequent search in late September uncovered 19 cats, eight dogs, and one Canadian goose, all of which were removed from the property due to poor living conditions.
All three individuals were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Whitehall Town Court.
No comment was available from the defendants.
