NYC Mayoral Race: Mamdani and Cuomo Neck and Neck
A recent poll suggests that if Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa drops out, Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani and Independent candidate Andrew Cuomo would be neck and neck in the NYC mayoral race.
The poll, conducted by Gotham Polling and the city AARP, indicates that without Sliwa, Mamdani would lead with 44.6% and Cuomo would follow with 40.7%. However, a significant 15% of voters over 50 would remain undecided.
Notably, Cuomo's support among older voters increased by 9 points in August. Currently, with all three candidates in the race, Mamdani leads his opponents by double digits, according to the New York Post.
