Government Launches First Digital ID

The first digital IDs, dubbed "digital veteran cards," are available for ex-members of the armed services.
These cards were presented at an event at the Tower of London, where Beefeaters showcased their new digital veteran ID cards, as reported by Sky News.
The introduction of digital IDs is part of a broader plan to tackle illegal immigration and verify citizens' right to live and work in the UK.
The proposal is subject to a full consultation, which was announced last month.
