2026 Cupra Leon Ve: PHEV Hatch Marching in with More Range, Less Grunt

Spanish brand Cupra is introducing a second Leon PHEV hatch, confirming the 150kW Ve with over more range.

Cupra Australia has confirmed plug-in hybrid (PHEV) power will return to the Leon Hatch range early in 2026, bridging the gap between the mild-hybrid entry-level S variant and the go-fast VZx hot hatch.

The 2026 Cupra Leon Hatch Ve is due for local release "at the end of the first quarter" of next year (around March), and will debut the lower-output 150kW e-Hybrid PHEV drivetrain for the Volkswagen Group in Australia.
