President Oaks' First Interview as Church President
President Oaks expressed hope for the future and his desire to serve Heavenly Father and His children in a 20-minute interview.
During the interview with journalist Jane Clayson Johnson, President Oaks discussed his new role as president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Jesus Christ is the way
He emphasized the importance of the Savior, quoting King Benjamin's teaching in Mosiah:
There shall be no other name given nor any other way nor means whereby salvation can come unto the children of men, only in and through the name of Christ, the Lord Omnipotent.
