Charges Laid Against Key Suspect in Tembisa Hospital Theft
DA MPL Jack Bloom states that Lerato Madyo, the former CFO of the Gauteng Health Department, failed to act on a report by Babita Deokaran regarding possible fraudulent transactions at Tembisa Hospital.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng has laid criminal charges against Madyo for her inaction.
"Morning CFO, I am just worried that the guys in Tembisa are going to realise we are onto something. Our lives could be in danger."
Initially, Madyo froze R104 million in payments to suspicious companies flagged by Deokaran, but later allowed the payments to proceed.
