PeopleCert Acquires City & Guilds' Training Arm
PeopleCert has acquired the commercial awarding and skills training part of City & Guilds London Institute (CGLI) for an undisclosed sum.
- PeopleCert will take over all of City & Guilds’ awarding, assessment and training businesses.
- The acquired brands include City & Guilds Training, Gen2, Intertrain, ILM, and The Oxford Group.
- The deal also includes the acquisition of City & Guilds’ headquarters in London and its training and assessment site in Cumbria.
The transaction was financed through a combination of €150 million in funding from Eurobank and existing company cash reserves.
Following this acquisition, PeopleCert will now focus on refinancing its capital structure, with the deal expected to complete by the end of this month.
