Canadian airline WestJet is reconfiguring its fleet of newly acquired aircraft, removing the recline function from standard economy seats.
The redesign affects 43 aircraft, including Boeing 737-8 MAX and 737-800, which account for less than a third of WestJet's narrowbody fleet.
Passengers will soon have to pay for the ability to recline certain seats aboard a fleet of newly redesigned aircraft.
