A pre-pack deal with Boparan Private Office has secured 433 jobs at Roberts Bakery across two sites.
The investment, made for an undisclosed fee, sees the creation of a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, a reference to the year the Cheshire-based business was founded.
This deal comes after the fourth-generation family business, which produces bread and sweet treats for supermarkets and coffee shops, filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators just over a week ago.
The private investment firm, owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan, has helped safeguard the jobs through this deal.
