Stellantis will invest $13 billion over the next four years to increase its domestic manufacturing footprint and create more than 5,000 jobs.
The investment will be used to manufacture five vehicles, including a new four-cylinder engine, at four plants in Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.
According to CEO Antonio Filosa,
“Accelerating growth in the U.S. has been a top priority since my first day,”and
“Success in America is not just good for Stellantis in the U.S.—it makes us stronger everywhere.”
The next-generation Dodge Durango will be assembled in Detroit, and the Jeep Grand Wagoneers will be manufactured in Warren, Michigan.
