Coastal Flood Advisory
A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect until 8 PM Wednesday for coastal Carteret, Craven, Pamlico, and Onslow Counties. A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect from the Oregon Inlet southward through Ocracoke Island through 8 AM Wednesday.
Temperature Outlook
Temperatures will be in the upper 60s and low 70s inland, mid-70s along the coast. However, at night, temperatures may quickly drop into the 50s.
By midweek, rising heights from high pressure building in from the west, and light northeasterly breezes will keep temperatures mild.
Sunshine will likely make its long-awaited return, setting the standard for a milder mid-October day.
