Weeks after a children's birthday party in upscale Vaucluse turned into a heated shouting match, the conflict has escalated into a public war of words involving legal threats.
The dispute involves Danielle Plaskitt, an operator of the 'My Pony Party' business from Sydney’s semi-rural northwest, and D'Leanne Lewis, an eastern suburbs real estate agent and star of the Amazon Prime Video series Luxe Listings Sydney. The confrontation occurred at the third birthday party of Lewis's daughter, Lyra, on September 28 at Kimberley Reserve, Sydney.
Lewis shared a video of the incident on Instagram, reaching her 70,000 followers. In the footage, Plaskitt appears sharp and abrasive, shouting,
“Get away from my ponies, now!”
as Lewis carried Lyra off the pony ride. The video portrayal sparked strong reactions against Plaskitt.
Last week, Plaskitt explained her reaction stemmed from several frustrations. She claimed that some guests were disruptive and challenging, the company’s terms and conditions were ignored, and her team lacked proper parking during the event.
Following our exclusive coverage, both parties are considering legal action. Lewis has already issued a cease-and-desist notice. The disagreement began after Lewis hired Plaskitt's pony ride service through a party planner for the child's birthday celebration.
This clash highlights how a children's party dispute can quickly escalate into serious legal threats, fueled by miscommunication and public social media exposure.
