The Sacramento Kings have signed forward/center Precious Achiuwa and waived Isaac Jones to open a roster spot.
At 4:52 pm, the Kings formally signed Achiuwa and released Jones, as confirmed by a team press release.
At 9:17 am, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Sacramento agreed to a one-year, minimum-salary deal with free agent Precious Achiuwa. To accommodate Achiuwa, the Kings planned to waive second-year forward Isaac Jones.
The Kings have faced frontcourt challenges after losing Keegan Murray to a thumb injury last month, forcing smaller lineups and increased reliance on rookies Nique Clifford and Dylan Cardwell early in the season.
