Adrian Kempe scored his 200th NHL goal, while Drew Doughty set a new Los Angeles Kings record for most goals by a defenseman, as the Kings defeated the Winnipeg Jets 3–0 on Tuesday night.
Goaltender Darcy Kuemper turned aside 23 shots, and Kevin Fiala netted a late power-play goal to secure the Kings’ first home victory of the season after six games. For Winnipeg, Connor Hellebuyck also made 23 saves as the Jets suffered their first road loss after four straight wins.
